ABOUT OMD My interest in home decor began early, learning from my mother, a New Orleans native with an enduring love for antiques and all things beautiful. After leaving the teaching profession, I realized that I could combine my interests in art and interiors by painting home furnishings for resale. To that end I enrolled in the Decorative Arts and Historic Restoration Program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical College. After a year of hard work, I graduated from the program in December 2009. It was time to start my business, and Once More Decor was born! I designed the space at Sweeten Creek Antiques to resemble a French-style room and began acquiring items for sale. While I carry many items at OMD, my specialties are painted furniture and framed art work. As there is so much to learn about paint, I have continued to further my knowledge through participation in workshops, most notably through FauxWorks Studio in High Point, NC. It was there I discovered Annie Sloan's chalk paint, which I now use frequently in my work. To learn more about this wonderful paint, visit Annie's website. I also do custom painted
pieces. For more information, email OMD or call me at (828) 275-5176.
